“What can I say about Zona B… their contract gin distilling service is exceptional. Not only is the production impeccable and exactly in line with what we wanted, but they also provide truly tailored consultancy that has added value to our project, supporting us through every stage (especially through all our many indecisions!). Always available and reliable. Alessandro’s professionalism and expertise are certainly what make Zona B what it is. And finally, as a CrossFitter, I couldn’t expect anything less than this level of determination and precision!”
- Marco Chiarolini

SOME OF OUR SUCCESSFUL COLLABORATIONS
“Working with Alessandro Zaghi on the production of Gin39 was a truly special experience. We worked through trials, tastings and ongoing discussions, searching together for the right balance and sharing ideas and visions until we achieved the result we were looking for. From the very beginning, we found a great connection, both professionally and personally. It’s one of those collaborations where, beyond creating a product we can be proud of, you build a relationship that goes beyond work — and a great friendship.”
- Matteo Rizzo

★★★★★

“Zona B is a craft distillery that offers a truly bespoke approach, thanks to Alessandro’s professionalism and experience. Salicorn London Dry Gin is based on our own proprietary recipe, but his contribution was essential in turning it into an exceptional spirit. Being able to work directly with the master distiller and exchange ideas throughout every stage of production is a real privilege and a level of added value that large-scale industrial producers can rarely offer.”
- Giovanni Giavoni
How we turn your idea into a premium spirit
4 steps. You take the first with an email, and we take the other three together at the distillery.
01
The idea
All we need is a scent, a journey, a place. Alessandro guides you in turning it into a recipe: spirit type, botanicals, ABV.
02
The Development
We distil test batches and taste them together until we find the right recipe. Only then do we move into production.
03
The Production
A 200-litre copper pot still, high-quality spirit, certified botanicals, no artificial flavours or colours. Full traceability.
04
The Bottle
Bottling, labelling and packing at the distillery. We can also help with your product’s visual identity and technical documentation.

Alessandro Zaghi Master Distiller - Zona B
This year, another key member joined the “family”, allowing us to create contemporary and tailor-made spirits: the RotaVapor Buchi R300
Its vacuum distillation technology allows us to work at lower temperatures, opening up new possibilities for delicate and highly aromatic ingredients.
The heart of the distillery is a 200-litre copper pot still, equipped with two reflux columns and a generous botanical basket, where we place the more delicate botanicals. This allows for gentler vapour extraction, preserving their delicate aromatic character.
It’s the same still we use to distil our Terpeni Classico London Dry Gin, Best in Europe 2026.

“I went to Alessandro with an idea, and from the very beginning he believed in the project and was genuinely passionate about bringing it to life. He guided me every step of the way, always incredibly helpful and committed. The result is an exceptional spirit — he paid attention to every detail to create exactly what I had envisioned. A special thanks also to his wife Betti, who took care of the graphic design and truly impressed me with her ideas!”
- Daniele Basili
“Great ideas need great people behind them. Benante 1960 started with an idea, and only time will tell where it will take us. But one thing we know for sure is that we have some truly great people and professionals by our side.
Alessandro at Zona B is the driving force behind our products. His knowledge of distillation is remarkable, but what really sets him apart is his professionalism, kindness and genuine willingness to help. He takes the time to explain even the smallest details, with incredible patience. He is reliable, precise, and has an exceptional eye for selecting the finest raw materials. What can I say? Benante 1960 was built around an idea — but, above all, we chose to build it with an exceptional partner.”
- Pierpaolo Bottazzi

Why Choose Zona B

Step inside the production process ...
Do I need to bring my own recipe?
It depends... Most people come to us with an idea, not a finished recipe. We work on the recipe together, and you get to taste it before we make it final.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the minimum 150 bottles rather than 10?
Because every distillation run requires the still to be set up, along with the necessary excise procedures. Below this volume, the cost per bottle becomes unsustainable for you — not for us. The minimum is 150 × 0.7 L bottles, or 200 × 0.5 L bottles.
What does it really cost, beyond €2,500?
That’s the starting price for 150 fully finished bottles. From there, the price per bottle goes down: the larger the batch, the lower the impact of setup costs and paperwork. For a batch of 1,000 bottles, we’ll prepare a tailored quote.
Can I come and visit the distillery?
Yes! We have a shop open to the public, but for safety reasons, we can’t offer tours while production is underway. So, please give us a call before you come. 😉
